Lost TV Sanctuary: The Random Years (UPN 2002)

The first 4 (of 7) episodes, then the show was pulled.  The final 3 episodes of the series didn’t air.

 

I miss UPN - that was an awesome network.

 

A promo for Amazing Race during these episodes surprised me - I forgot it aired on UPN at one point...

Lost TV Sanctuary: Cursed / The Weber Show (NBC 2000)

The Cursed premise was ditched early on and starting with episode 4, the show was reset.  The show name eventually changed in episode 8.

Episodes 2 & 3 are the two "unaired" episodes of Cursed.  They ended up airing as late night filler (after the name change).

Lost TV Sanctuary: Route 66 (NBC 1993)

This was a short-lived remake of the 60's series.  It deserved to last a lot longer than that.

Lost TV Sanctuary: ReBoot (ABC 1994)

ReBoot is far from being lost TV.  But certain production parts from the show have become difficult to find over the years.

Shortly after ReBoot started airing on ABC, it went on a five-week hiatus (supposedly the new episodes weren’t ready in time).  Short clips were produced to air during those weeks between “The Medusa Bug” and “The Tiff”.  This also included an alternate ending to “The Medusa Bug”.

Here’s the alt end to “The Medusa Bug”, all the hiatus clips & an extra clip of Megabyte commenting on another ABC show.  (I didn’t realize until last night that people have been searching for the Phong hiatus clip for years.)

The full series is streaming on a bunch of services and is also available on DVD.

But more importantly, the master tapes were recently found and a perfect digital transfer is possible - if the machine to play them back is found.  Read this article to find out more about the search.

Lost TV Sanctuary: Welcome To New York (CBS 2000)

Christine Baranski, Sara Gilbert & Jim Gaffigan (playing himself) all in one show.  The rest of the cast (randomly including Eartha Kitt as a recurring guest) were great too, but somehow this didn’t work.

The show lasted 16 episodes and then disappeared as most one season shows do.  But this one is even more difficult to find thanks to Taylor Swift.  Anytime you search the title of this show, Taylor Swift’s song of the same name comes up.

I uploaded episodes 3 & 5 to the Internet Archive.  It wouldn't surprise me if the entire series turns up somewhere soon though.  It's too good to be left forgotten.
