ReBoot is far from being lost TV. But certain production parts from the show have become difficult to find over the years.
Shortly after ReBoot started airing on ABC, it went on a five-week hiatus (supposedly the new episodes weren’t ready in time). Short clips were produced to air during those weeks between “The Medusa Bug” and “The Tiff”. This also included an alternate ending to “The Medusa Bug”.
Here’s the alt end to “The Medusa Bug”, all the hiatus clips & an extra clip of Megabyte commenting on another ABC show. (I didn’t realize until last night that people have been searching for the Phong hiatus clip for years.)
The full series is streaming on a bunch of services and is also available on DVD.
But more importantly, the master tapes were recently found and a perfect digital transfer is possible - if the machine to play them back is found. Read this article to find out more about the search.
